Starling |
I suspect most of December will be spent filling bird feeders. The arrival of the starlings was accompanied by a lot of noise from very disgruntled spadgers.
- Black-headed Gull 1 overhead
- Blackbird 2
- Blue Tit 2
- Coal Tit 1
- Collared Dove 2
- Common Gull 1 overhead
- Dunnock 1
- Feral Pigeon 1
- Great Tit 2
- House Sparrow 29
- Magpie 1
- Starling 40
- Woodpigeon 2
Across the road the gulls were out in force in the blustery weather:
- Black-headed Gull 31
- Common Gull 2
- Feral Pigeon 4
- Herring Gull 7 (two adults, one 4th-winter, a 3rd-winter, two 2nd-winters, and a brute of a male 1st-winter)
- Jackdaw 7
- Lesser Black-backed Gull 6 (five adults and a 1st-winter)
- Rook 5
