All afternoon there was an intermittent but very persistent tapping at the living room window.

This long-tailed tit had noticed some very choice spiders' webs on the inside of the window and was intent on having them as nesting materials.

| By this point it was getting a bit narky and went off to get some scoff on the suet feeder before coming back for another go. |
In my (admittedly dubious) defence, we had an influx of cellar spiders this Winter and they ate nearly all the house spiders so I'm trying not to trouble the survivors too much.
