Cob Kiln Wood

Sketch map: Cob Kiln Wood

Cob Kiln Wood is one of the small patches of young woodland scattered round Greater Manchester. It's a nice short walk, though some of the paths get extremely muddy. You're likely to bump into most of the usual Greater Manchester woodland suspects here.

You can walk down from Urmston Meadows or from the path along the river between Urmston and the A56. Alternatively, plenty of buses run down Stretford Road and stop at the Torbay Road bus stop, walk down to the bottom of Torbay Road and you meet the path into Cob Kiln Wood.
