The back garden's already looking like a backwater of the Matto Grosso |
A lazy day's listening to the cricket and watching the spadgers demolish the sunflower seeds. Most of the action out there's going on undercover, even the woodpigeons are mostly evidenced by the clattering in the conifer at the bottom of the garden. The blackbird had as bad a night's sleep as I did, he started singing just after three. Even the robin waited until sun-up. It sounds like the great tits have got youngsters about somewhere but they've kept themselves well out of sight so far.
